Chapter 5

N.Z ~

AN : We're so sorry about the long awaits. Like J.L said, we're entering our mid-term test week and we're freakin' busy. Oh God I hate Civics and History. By the way, the past stories didn't seem like a fantasy stories, did they? Actually, our plot is to make a fantasy story. My chapter here will start to seems like one, and I hope you enjoy it ;) So, this is Cindy's POV

     "Cindy Laurent, isn't it?," the principal of Seinze Academy asked.

     "Yes, Ma'am," I answered.

     "So, you know that the first rule to enter Seinze is 'have a magic power', aren't you?"

     "Yes, Ma'am"

     Not all people in our world, Thera, have magic powers. Magic is something that only gifted people have. It's not a thing that's blood-related, so even if no one in that person's family have magic powers, that person can has it. My father has wind element, but my mother doesn't has any of the elements. There are 6 magic elements : Fire, Earth and Sound which are categorized as black-based elements or crashing elements, and Water, Wind, and Light which are categorized as white-based elements or healing elements. (AN : It's something like Chinese Yin and Yang's culture).

     "What element are you in, Cindy?"

     "Fire, Ma'am."

     "Fire? Wow! I rarely found a girl with fire element, you know? Usually a girl has white-based element. Things like light, wind and water. I think this will be very interesting."

     The principal asked me to follow her. I walked with her to a very big building on the center of Seinze Academy. We walked through a door and entered a big building with blue paint dominating it. There's a big plank above the door with white words that says "Water Academy". The principal asked me to enter a room, a very big room, with nothing in it.

     "There's nothing in this room. What should I do?," I asked.

     She snapped her finger and two people came, a man and a woman. I think they're teachers. They wear white shirts, white pants and skirt, white coats, white shoes, and blue belts.

     "She's a fire-based magician," she said to them. "I wanna know her power limit."

     The teachers nodded. The principal left three of us alone in the empty room. She got out and watch from the window. What will happen? Practical test?, I asked myself.

     Suddenly the teachers attacked me with things like whips made from water. Fortunately, my fast reflex protected me. I quickly used my hands to create big fire circle that made the water evaporates.

     "WHOA!!! Hey! Are you freakin' crazy?!," I shouted.

     None of them even bother to listen to my words. They kept on attacking me with water and of course I keep on protecting myself. I know that there will be a practical test before I enter Seinze, so I have practiced since I arrive in Tark. I also have read many books about maximizing fire power. I think they're quite useful efforts. I can protect myslef up 'till now.

      I tried to attack them but it's so hard. Maybe because they're teachers. But, it's not me if I can't at least make one of them injured. I tried to concentrate on my power, making myself angry and create a big fire ball around me. With that, I shot fire balls to them with fascinating speed (in my point of view). I succeed on hitting one of them, the woman. Yeah! Great Cindy Laurent!, I praised myself.

     The principal entered the room and lifted her hand, a sign for us to stop the battle. I wiped my fire barrier and arrange my breath. This is very tiring. The first time I use this much power.

     "Very great, new kid. It's really remarkable," said the man.

     "Thank you," I said. "Oh! Miss, are you okay?" I walked to the woman and saw the wound that I made. "I'm really sorry."

     "It's okay, girl. Don't need to worry," she replied.

     "Let me try to help you." I take her hand and again I concentrate on my power. Wind breezed from my palm, creating ice sparks that cure her wound.

     "Hey! You has wind element too?!," the woman shouted.

     "My father has it. Mine's fire."

     "No! You cured me with wind!"

     "But my element is fire. How can it be wind?," I asked.

     "Cindy... You're special. The first person to has 2 elements from different base in this academy," The principal suddenly said. "We don't need any other test anymore. We'll take care of your entrance administrations as soon as possible. You can go home now, we'll call you when you need to come here and sign the contract. You may leave."

     Great, I said to myself. I wanna go home ASAP. I bow to show my respect and fly to my apartment. Two elements? Wow... Cindy Laurent, maybe you're greater than you think.
