Cindy's POV
"Cindy!," my mom shouted.
"Yes, mom! I'll be there in a sec!"
I quickly combed my hair and looked at myself on the mirror. Okay, clean and neat. Perfect for the first day in the academy. I took my bag and ran downstairs to eat my breakfast.
"Good morning mom, dad!"
"Good morning, Honey," they replied. I sat down and started to eat my breakfast.
"Do you forget something? Try to remember. It'll be bad if you forget something on your first day in the academy," my mom said. As always, she's a very perfectionist person. I shook my head.
"Nah! All I need to bring is my tablet. How can I forget?"
"Are you sure? You don't need to bring anything else?"
"You don't need to worry about me, mom. I'm already 16. I can take care of myself."
Dad whispers something on mom's ear, make her shuts her mouth.
"CINDY!!!"
Suddenly I heard someone shouted from outside. Who's it?
"Who is it?," Dad asked.
"No idea," I replied.
I peeked from the door watch-hole and saw Christian standing in front of my apartment, listening to music with his mp3. What the hell is he doing here?
"My friend." I said to my parents, pointing at the door.
"You already have a friend? Why don't you let her in? C'mon! Open the door!," Dad looks very happy.
"Err... Actually it's not 'her'."
Mom stares at me with sparkling eyes. She's always getting extremely excited about 'these' kind of things, if you know what I mean.
"Are you sure?"
Mom and Dad nodded in unison.
"Okay..." I opened the door and Christian suddenly looked at me. He smiled and greeted me.
"Good morning, new student."
"What are you doing here?!," I whispered in anger.
"Pick you up."
"I don't need someone to tell me the way to the academy!"
"I'm not telling you the way, I pick you up."
"No!!! What I mean is you don't need to take me there!"
"I'm not taking you to the academy! I pick you up! We'll go together there!"
"Arggghhh!!! How can you be so... So... Ahhh!!! Whatever!"
"Cindy? Why don't you let your friend inside?," Mom said.
"Wanna go inside?," I asked Christian. He shook his head.
"I'm bad at chit-chatting with parents."
"Okay. Wait for a minute. I'll take my bag, then we can go."
"Why don't you let him in?," asked Mom.
"We must go now. Bye Mom, Dad." I hugged them and ran outside.

"By the way, I just realized something," Christian said while we're flying to the academy.
"What?"
"Your uniform. I've never seen it before. The normal colors are black-red for fire, black-brown for earth, black-purple for sound, white-blue for water, white-green for wind, and white-yellow for light. Yours is kinda..."
I looked at my uniform that has different colors from what Christian has described. Mine is black and white. "The pattern's still checkerboard though," I replied with no interest.
"But you'll enter the wind academy don't you?"
"Wind and fire."
"FIRE?!" Christian stopped flying. We'll, he's still floating, but... You know what I mean.
I nodded. "I have two elements."
He stared at me with no beliefs. "How... Come...?"
"If you asked me, then to whom I must ask? I also have no clue about this situation."
"I'm okay with this actually, but how 'bout the other students?"
"What do you mean?"
"For years, even though the 6 elements have united, there's still some grudge. Black-based elements and white-based elements still don't have a good relationship, which make them hardly talk to each other," Christian explained. "With you having these different base elements inside you, I don't know how they'll interact towards you."
Suddenly, I felt fears coming into my heart. Jonathan have left me alone. He forgot his promise. What if I have no friends here? I'll be alone in this city.
BUGH!!!, Christian hit my back hardly.
"AHHH!!!," I shouted in surprise. "You!!!"
"Hehehe..." He used his fingers to make a V and smiled widely. "Peace!"
I stared at him.
"You don't have to worry about it. Even though the others hate you, I'll always be your friend."
I smiled. Inside my heart, I'm happy to find a good friend like him. But, there's also fear. Feelings about what if it turns out like my relationship with Jonathan.
"C"mon! Let's go!," Christian pulled my hand and dragged me to Seinze. I really hope that this friendship won't turn out bad.
